It has always been my intention to make as much as possible of the Sing Yonder universe totally freely available, which is fine when it is my labour being given away for free. However, when I was making the first Sing Yonder album, I thought it unfair to assume the marvellous artists involved would share my enthusiasm for voluntary labour, and as most are also trying to make a living, I had to at least offer to pay them for their time. Because of that, the first album was not initially freely available.
However, now I have sold enough copies (thank you so much to those that bought them last year) to offer the artists a small recompense for their time, and with Sing Yonder 2 on the horizon, I have with their agreement decided to release the album for free so even more people can enjoy it, and hopefully learn from it. However, rather than do it the quick and easy way by dumping it into some automatic distribution system, I instead decided to make individual, “Sing along” videos for each track, which I will release onto YouTube as a playlist when Sing Yonder 2 is properly launched.
As you paid subscribers are very much part of this process, and I am even more grateful to all of you for your support, you get to see them all first, so here after the break, including the artists’ sleeve notes, is your special preview of Sing Yonder 1, the album, in video form. Enjoy!
